We took active partin the 2023 edition of the EGU General Assembly which was held last week in Vienna, Austria.

Dr. Marco Loche co-convened a session (GM3.3), led by Italian CNR-IRPI researcher Massimiliano Alvioli on “Benchmark datasets for landslide susceptibility zonation” and presented two posters on his work on “Landslide susceptibility mapping via a binomial generalized additive model“.

Dr. Gianvito Scaringi co-convened a session (NH3.4), led by Italian CMCC researcher Guido Rianna, focusing on “Deciphering landslide activity and slope-atmosphere interaction in a changing climate“.

In this session, Mr. Om Prasad Dhakal presented a poster on his work on “Thermal effects on soil strength: from laboratory experiments to catchment modelling“, within a collaboration with researchers from the ITC-University of Twente (the Netherlands) and the Tribhuvan University (Nepal).
